Program

Doctoral Programme

  The doctoral programme will admit no more than five students each year. Students are required to take the compulsory course of empirical studies. Students should also choose one from the four subfields of political science (please see Part One Introduction for introduction to the four modules) as major module, and another as submajor. A successful Ph.D. candidate should have 15 credits of the compulsory courses and 9 credits of the selective courses (6 from the major module and 3 from the submajor) and pass the following qualified exam. The degree will be conferred on the condition of a qualified Ph.D. thesis and viva.

 

Masters Programme

  The Masters degree requires 30 credits and a qualified masters dissertation. Students are expected to complete the 30 credits in two years, with the second year focusing on advanced courses.

 

Undergraduate Programme

  To complete the undergraduate degree, students are required to have at least 130 credits, 30 credits of which are courses general education. Students may choose one from the three subfields of political science (please see Part One Introduction for introduction to the modules) as major module, and another as submajor.
